Avantgarde means pushing the limits of culture beyond one’s own country & this is the notion shared by many renown fashion designers who have changed the way people think about fashionable clothes that they wear.
Eminent German Fashion Designer Pavlina Jauss, owner of a eponymous fashion brand, is an expert in Avantgardistic style of fashion. She says that Avantgarde fashion is a way of expressing oneself through clothes that portray culture, traditions of history and texture. There are endless possibilities of displaying oneself through different types of clothes that are influenced by different traditions and customs. Pavlina is inspired by European culture and history. She gets her inspiration from historical clothing of the past century. Music too has influenced her a lot.
On being asked how she turned into a fashion designer? Pavlina says that she wanted to express herself in a creative way after giving birth to her daughter Alessandra. She had this old skill of crafting things with bare hands. Her love for fashion made her to take up studying fashion designing and learn to craft garments the right way. After getting her degree in the same, she spent a lot of time to perfect the new set of fashion-designing skills. She also studied about materials, techniques, different textures, colours all of which would help her to express her Avantgardistic fashion style.
Pavlina Jauss also stands for fair trade and sustainable fashion that inculcates sustainability methods, & this is displayed in her brand of fashionable clothes as well. Sustainability is of great importance to her and she tries to learn everything about the materials that her brand uses. She also ensures that clothes made under her brand were made in an eco-friendly way. She likes to work with European companies so that she can be part of conserving their traditions and cultures.
Pavlina Jauss has already displayed her avantgardistic style of clothes in London Fashion Week 2019 & is currently leaving the Paris Fashion Week this year. She aims to continue her good work through sustainable fashion, & help people express themselves through avantgardistic style of fashion.
