Spread the love

Did you know that the fashion industry is the second biggest polluter of freshwater resources on the planet?

If consumption continues at its current rate, humanity will need at least two planets’ worth of natural resources by 2050.

Even though consumers are buying more, and using less, recycling of clothes is low. This means that consumers who throw away their wearable clothes lose out on annual €450 billion.

Did you know that it takes as much as water to make just ONE t-shirt, than you’d drink over a three-year period?

Not only we’re wasting water on production, but also every time we wash synthetic garments, they shed microfibers that add to the increasing levels of plastic in our oceans. It is predicted that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.

Did you know that the 2013 Rana Plaza tragedy in Bangladesh resulted in the loss of life of 1,134 garment workers?

Fast fashion pressures factory workers of manufacturers competing to produce clothing at the lowest price and fast fashion designers have less creative freedom.

What can you do today?

The world doesn’t need 1000 people doing sustainability perfect, but one million people taking part of at least some sustainable movement. So, what you can do, is to educate yourself in the field of sustainable fashion and continue conscious shopping.

Our mission is to inspire and educate fashion lovers in the field of fashion sharing our knowledge in addition to well-known fashion designers, smaller and sustainable fashion creators.

One day, all Fashion Lovers, including people with hearing and vision impairment, will have opportunity to attain Fashion education/knowledge in the field of ethical, slow, responsible and green fashion.

1. We want to provide our readers high quality content through texts and images

Finest Fashion Site spread her wings as a privately held social media company on 2018. It started off as a promoter for designers, with the view of „we shouldn’t buy that much“. As the company already took off, the founders did understand how much has the fashion industry changed due to the big factor- sustainability.

Finest Fashion Site took a new angle as a Sustainable Fashion Site.

Today Finest Fashion Site looks at different designers, and tries to approach from different sustainable perspectives.
